Wither New York Times

Even a casual survey of the New York Times’s recent editorial history reveals a frightening truth: the New York Times supports the violent overthrow of the American system of government.

The Facts:

December 15, 2005, the New York printed the sensational headline, “Bush Lets U.S. Spy on Callers Without Courts.” The story that followed contained sensationalized facts, opinions, and conjectures presented as facts based on information more than two years in the NYT’s editorial knowledge. Unlike news, which traditionally represents information on events recently occurring, this story more resembled pamphleteering.
June 23, 2006, The Times published information it knew to be classified regarding sources and methods of tracking international financial transactions. The methods had led, the paper acknowledged, to the capture of at least one senior al-Qaeda terrorist in Thailand in 2003.
June 24, 2006. Seemingly emboldened by accusations of treason arising from the two stories above, the New York Times began printing military secrets obtained illegally. The secrets involve the actual numbers of American servicemen in Iraq, allowing terrorist to more easily track them and kill them. In this case, the New York Times appears to have publically declared itself on the side of al-Qaeda. (See Hugh Hewitt, Michelle Malkin, Sgt. T. F. Boggs, and Truth Laid Bear)

Given these indisputable facts (not even the New York Times disputes them), as Americans, we must decide what to do. We have only three choices:

Ignore or endorse the Times’s treason.
Economically damage the Times.
Prosecute the Times.

The first option belongs to the radical left kooks of society, aka everyone who voted for John Kerry or the Green Party candidate in 2004. We will not change their minds, so we shall allow those idiots to continually marginalize themselves and their childish beliefs.

Economically damaging the Times might prove effective were time on our side. In a war, time is on the side of the aggressor. The NYT and al-Qaeda are the aggressors, so delays in counter-offensives only help them. Long term strategies help them. Were the Times’s editors to have their way, America would be an Islamic Republic long before our boycott strategy paid dividends.

That leaves the last option: criminal prosecution.

New York Congressman Peter King, today, called upon Attorney-General Alberto Gonzalez to do just that. I agree. The New York Times, in its liberal-hysteria, has reduced itself to a criminal enterprise. Knowing that an America worth saving is an America in which Democrats cannot prevail, the Times, the Democrat National Committee, seeks to destroy the country. In chaos, the chaotic rule.

If found guilty, the punishment should fit the crime. The Constitution specifies execution for treason. Editors and publishers directly responsible for content of published classified material should be executed.

The New York Times Co., on the other hand, should be ordered to pay restitution to victims of terrorism, including military members injured or killed in combat in Iraq or Afghanistan from December 15, 2005, until the end of hostilities in both countries. I would set the price tag at $1,000,000.

The New York Times is an evil, anti-American, terrorist operation. It seeks the deaths of as many American soldiers and Marines as possible. It seeks the downfall of our country. If I didn’t know better, I’d say it’s the first manifestation of the Anti-Christ.

Let justice prevail, and may that justice include sweeping the New York Times to ash-heap of history.
