. . . and dumber

After a weekend of ranting about ’s malignant stupidity, I thought my system purge complete. Along comes the dumbest human being ever to hold public office, though, to out-do her friend Dowd.

Speaking on CBS’s , Senator Barbara Boxer said in response to bogus article (via ),

General Casey has put forward a timetable–yes, that’s what it is, a timetable–for reducing our forces. . . . That means the only people who have fought us and fought us against the timetable, the only one still saying there shouldn’t be a timetable really are the Republicans in the United States Senate and in the Congress.

Poor Barbara. Had anyone else said, “yes, that’s what it is, a timetable,” I’d call him a liar. I know, though, that Barbara lacks the cerebral acumen to pull off such a lie. She’s just—you know—stupid. Doesn’t know any better.

In the first place, contingencies for troop reductions have been in place in the Pentagon’s planning (I’m out of “p” words) since day one of Iraq liberation planning. Secondly, the New York Times—America’s most corrupt institution—printed classified information without so much as asking the primary source, General Casey, for a comment. Third, sweetie, the United States Senate is part of the Congress.

California voters: are you as stupid as your Senator? If not, why do you keep electing her? Just curious.
