PSYCH!

What a brilliant, brilliant strategy the Israelis pulled off this weekend.

On Sunday, Israel announced a 48-hour break in its air attack on Hezbollah. Then, as soon as the maggoty vermin crawled out from under the cribs and craddles, Israel picks them off from the air.Â

Perfect. Bravo! Give them no quarter! (See Rhymes With Right for the sequence of events.)

The usual suspects–the NYT, WaPo, DNC–will decry Israel’s pinnache as “inhuman” and “unfair.” What’s fair in war?Â

This was a genius, calculated maneuver designed to flush out and kill the enemy. Far from inhumane, killing terrorists with or without deception serves as monumental evidence of Israel’s abounding respect for human lives: their own and those of Lebanese non-combatants.Â

Three cheers for the IDF and this slap in the face of the UN.
