When Your Children Die
When your children die at the hands of terrorists, blame the Democrats and their lawyer friends.
Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and other Democrats let the domestic surveillance law die. They did it because their Trial Lawyer donors want to sue telecommunication companies who help stop terrorism.
It’s impossible to count the number of American lives saved by electronic surveillance. We know it’s in the thousands. Possibly the hundreds of thousands.
When the law authorizing this critical counter-terrorism law came up for renewal, Trial Lawyers, who stand to make billions suing telephone companies, spend millions lobbying liberal Senators, and the lobbying worked. Hillary didn’t show up for the vote, and Obama voted against re-authorization. Both candidates’ campaigns have accepted hundreds of thousands of dollars from specific law firms who want to sue telephone companies.
Some will argue that the eavesdropping law infringed on civil rights. Well, the courts already decided against that. Congress’s failure to act had nothing to do with political science or philosophy; it had to do with money.
When the next terrorist attack occurs–an attack that this law might have prevented–I hope those who let the law die meet with an angry mob, chains, and pitchforks.

Gunfight At the Not-OK Corral
Clinton Inc. will do whatever (it thinks) it takes to secure the Democrat nomination for president.
The news of the past two days has been Obama’s plagiarism of Hillaryspeak. As if Obama is incapable of formulating pandering drivel on his own. From WaPo:
Yesterday, key Clinton supporters accused Obama of "lifting" a passage of the rousing speech he delivered to a party gathering in Milwaukee on Saturday night from Massachusetts Gov. Deval L. Patrick, a longtime friend and supporter.
Captain Ed notes that the Clintons are make much over nothing.
Put simply, it’s nonsense. It is, however, an indication of how desperate Hillary has become to derail Obama.
It’ more than desperation; it’s personal. Clinton Inc. can’t stand the thought of losing. A loss in the primaries would be the end of that tragic legacy, a repudiation of the most corrupt administration since Johnson. And the Little Rock mafia won’t stand for such.
Hillary is counting heavily on the Super Delegates, many of whom, no doubt, will vote for Clinton at the convention to avoid embarrassing disclosures. (The Clintons have everyone’s FBI record, remember?)
This should add up to quite an entertaining convention. And that could be bad news for McCain.

Windows Live Writer
I’ve tried several commercial and free blog writing tools in the past three years and found them all wanting.
When Live Writer was still beta, I tried it, but it was touchy with WordPress.
I’m giving it another try. If anyone has any tips or reviews, I’d love to hear them.
