Buckley ever after

David Brooks’ masterful obituary of William F. Buckley in the New York Times gives that paper a reprieve, however short, from the right’s vituperations. 

National Review’s readers no doubt shared a hatred for Communism, but many of them simply wanted to be like Buckley.

Guilty as charged.  And proud of my crime.
